IMPORTANT information for children starting Reception in September

17 July 2025 (by holyfamily)

Dear Parents
We are all so excited to welcome your children into our Reception class in September. All Reception children will be starting on Wednesday 3rd September. Your child can be dropped off at the Reception classroom door between 08:45-09:00. Don't worry if you are not sure which way to go, we can guide you to the correct classroom door.
If your child has a sibling in KS2, Reception children can be picked up between 15:10-15:30 (this is because KS2 children do not finish until 15:30). However, if your child does not have a sibling in KS2, we ask that they are picked up promptly at 15:10. Pick up will be at the Reception classroom door.
Please click on this link to find out more information about Reception: https://www.holyfamily.cumbria.sch.uk/pupils/reception
It is also very important that you download our school app now as this is our main form of communication - more information about this can be found using this link: https://www.holyfamily.cumbria.sch.uk/parents-1/communication-with-parents
You should already have received information about how to login in to purchase school dinners for your child. Please note that the school dinner system will not go live for your child until Monday 1st September. If you are having problems logging in to this system, please send a packed lunch in for your child to enjoy while we sort any technical issues. You can email the school office to make them aware of any difficulties on manager@holyfamily.cumbria.sch.uk
We hope that you all have an amazing summer and that your children are looking forward to having lots of fun at our school.
Kind regards
Mrs R Porter
