How We Can Be More Like Blessed Carlo Acutis
Blessed Carlo Acutis is a modern example of living the Catholic faith in a way that is relatable to young people. He reminds us that holiness is possible for everyone, even in the everyday moments of our lives. At Holy Family School, we challenge ourselves to:
- Be kind and compassionate: Like Carlo, we can show love to everyone, especially those in need.
- Embrace technology for good: Carlo’s life shows us how to use our skills and talents to spread God’s message in new and creative ways.
- Value the Eucharist: Carlo called the Eucharist his "highway to heaven." We can deepen our appreciation for the sacraments and make them a priority in our lives.
- Live joyfully: Carlo was known for his contagious joy and love of life. By finding joy in the small things and trusting in God, we can reflect his light in the world.
A prayer for Carlo Acutis
O God, our Father, Thank you for giving us Carlo, a model of life for young people, and a message of love for all. You made him fall in love with your Son, Jesus, making the Eucharist his "highway to Heaven". You gave him Mary, as a beloved Mother, And with the Rosary, You made him sing the praises of her tenderness. Accept his prayer for us. Attend especially to the poor, whom he loved and assisted. Through his intercession, may I receive the grace I need, and especially that our families and young people grow closer to Christ, especially in the Eucharist. Fulfill our joy, by placing Carlo among the blessed of your Holy Church, so that his smile may shine again for us for the glory of Your Holy Name.
